I find it to be a fun target round as it is quite accurate. I shoot it for groups at 100m.

Hey K, found a GOOD looking Savage bull bbl .17 w/scope and one mag for $225.00. Good deal? It's used. Also had a normal tapered bbl w/synthetic stock and scope for $200.00? Whatcha think? That's a great gun. My buddy has one that shoots inside .5 inches at a hundred. Does it have the Accu-Trigger?

I will probably post pics when its done. I am doing a vinegar patina on the head right now. It may turn out pretty cool. The temper line is very dark as opposed to the rest of the head. Looks good so far. I am just debationg how long to keepmit soaking. I am tempted to leave it over night.

Ok, after looking things up, I am REALLY confused. I THOUGHT the .17 was a centerfire round. But I thought I saw there was a .17 rimfire? HUH???

17 hmr is rim fire. Price here is a touch higher than a 22 mag for ammo.

Oops. There is indeed a .17 centerfire, however the .17HMR is a rimfire round.
Do you know the specific caliber of the firearm or the model of the rifle? If it is a Savage Mk II then it is a rimfire rifle.

I have a CZ in a .17 HMR. I had two savages. The savages are great, great shooters. But the .17 HMR was a gift from the wife. I don't sell gifts, so I kept the CZ when I was thinning my collection.

Savage 93R (is the R for rimfire I guess). It has a regular shaped trigger but then there is a silver colored "blade" that is vertical in the whole length of the triggr. Is THAT the 'accu) part you were talking about?
