Fortunately I have never really NEEDED a 4wd, but they can be nice at times. That's why we will be keeping the Jeep and getting rid of the Car ('02 escort with 124k). It's still a good car though.

I agree with the new vehicle aspect. If it wasn't for the major price cuts and savings there is no way we would have purchased our last truck new from the dealership.

However people were asking about 5 k less for a 2 or 3 year old vehicle with 40k miles on it. Wasn't worth the savings!

Sometimes you do have to consider if the savings are worth the extra miles and POSSIBLE problems with the used vehicle. We actually were torn. We could have gotten a vehicle for a cheaper price, just not as fancy(we don't really care about fancy). But at the same time, we wanted to help her out as we were starting to look anway and we know this truck isn't hurt.

Haha, IT IS. It's the bighorn edition. Only thing it won't do is wipe for you, and I think they have an option even for that!

It's got a compass and temp in the rear view mirror, and I don't know what all else. Haven't really got down to studying the book for it yet. And we've got two keys with the lock/unlock and panic buttons on them. Yup, one of those computer chip embeded keys.

Don't lose those keys! They can be scary expensive to replace.

I figure if the compass and or temp thing ever goes out, it'll stay out. I don't figure it would be a reasonable amount of money to fix. I just hope they have improved the electric windows in the last 10-15 years!

Oh yeah, I THINK a friend of ours said a new "key" would cost them $100.00 if they had to replace one. I might be wrong, but I know that you would get soaked for a new one.
