Pretty good. the WD can be used for more delicate work because of the sharp point and the long narrow blade is suited for a number of different tasks. The MP, with it's 3/16 thick blade is VERY robust. Just perfect for making cuts. I mean like holding a stick and using your stick holding thumb to press cut down the shaft like you were gonna make a fuzz stick. AFTER getting it, It IS quite possibly my new favorite using blade. Long enough for a LOT of tasks, curved to make a fairly good skinner/slicer and strong enough to use as a semi-light weight prybar (admit it you do it, even though we know we shouldn't). AND the handle alghough longer than I would wish by about 3/4 inch is VERY comfortable in the hand and gives you a full hand grip, GREAT!

Oh I forgot to say the WP excells as a slicer as the thin distal tapered blade just begs to cut. AND probably make a fairly presentable fillet knife to boot although most folks would say it is to short for that and to stiff as well. And it is a stiff weiner. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

So far what I have MOST used the WD for is slicing meat/chicken and veggies. We all know how a sharp knife will cut through flesh, and recently it trimmed the fat off pork steaks like it was a laser. They were 3/4 to an inch thick and just sliced the fat of like there was no tomorrow.
The MP has just been used for smaller stuff MAYBE up to 3/4 inch on a few branches and some flowers and rose bushes. Oh I did slice some slivers off a 4x4 post just to see how it does, really good. If you need a good short, sort of, cutter and can use a gently curved blade, the MP is great. Actually the uses they both can be used for/excell at can and do overlap somewhat.

Don't sell thw WD short as an outdoor knife though, I think it will work well for MANY of those type tasks as well.
