boy we must be old it is friday night I remember 10 years back I would be out doing something ...Or someone now I am home with the wife and kids. +1 - exactly the same thing here! Well I'm actually quite young but I am married and I have a kid on the way. I don't do much partying anymore. I’m young and single, I just don’t have a life or know anyone. That’s one of the bad things about being homeschooled, I don’t know that many people my own age. I was homeschooled from 6th grade through high school. The only people I knew my own age were from church, and when they all graduated college everyone moved away to other places in the country, leaving me here by myself not knowing anyone my own age.

I bought a couple for friends and I figure I will ask about 15% to 20%. I feel more like a Scrapyard evangalist rather than a profiteer.
I have not done much drinking in the past few years, not because of ay attempt to quit I just lost interest(and most of my income goes to Dan). I do like fancy drinks with umbrellas and ever since the Simpsons episode with the Flaming Homer I have been mixxing my own celebrity themed drinks.
My favorite is the Britney which is just methadone and Diet pepsi
The fanciest is the Anna Nicoloe which is everything from the medicine cabinet, some peppermint schnapps and iced tea with lots or crushed ice and 2 big parasols for a garnish. best served with cheesecake. The Willie is good american bourboun with some ground up BC bud and a drop of water.

They are in pretty much the same boat as you though. They know kids from church and the oldest one is taking 1 class at the local high school so he can play on the football team but they live out in the country and are home schooled so they don’t know a lot of kids there age. I don't talk with or hang around to many of my high school friends anyways though. A lot of them are still in the get drunk as much as possible phase and some are druggies so I don’t have much to do with anyone from high school.

Unsub - sounds like some good drinks!
Andy - that has always been my chief complaint about homeschooling - doesn't give kids the same social opportunities. I've had buddies who were homeschooled, and most of them had the same problem you're talking about! You thought about going to college? You'd meet all kinds of people there - some good and some bad! Most of my friends since school were from work. It just seems that you've got yourself in a situation where you just don't MEET enough people! Go do something bro! Maybe Dan will have a Scrapyard convention sometime (Blade is just waaaay too far away from here! Maybe one of these years!).
If its any consolation Andy, I have "a lot" of friends, but I find myself online talking to you guys more than them, because once you get married and have kids, the partying and going out really come to a halt!!

Dice....I am with you on that...I move back to my home town where all my "friends are" but spend more time talking with folks that have the same interests as me.....and they dont! They think I am nuts for what I get and the things I prepare for......screw 'em. I would sooner move to a community near anyone from here rather than spend another rotting momnet here in Louisiana!

Can you even imagine a Community full of guys from the Yard!? Dan and Patti would have the big mansion in the middle, and we'd all be set up in Town Houses or Condos or something, drinking beer and chopping things all the time! Wouldn't that be a blast! I really would like to see a Scrapyard convention one of these days... if I could only convince the wife to go to Texas for vacation!!
