yep, and I see little point in just keeping users in a trunk, so hopefully off they go

just a teeny bit of use for the hook today. That's going to be my primary carry knife for overseas, so with any luck, it'll be getting a LOT of use over there, digging, cutting cheese and such, maybe even sticking an uncooperative radicalist. I'm probably going to throw my Dereg in my BOB once it gets here, and it'll see more toteying about in the woods with me around here than the hook will.

I am evaluating what I have right now. Only a couple of sizes doubled up. Most everything does/will get used.

Probably to Afghanistan, that's where most of our boys are going now. We have a prescence in Korea, Kuwait, and numerous other small conflicts, but that Mountain terrain is the military's primary focus now. No plan as of yet, but it doesn't hurt to be prepared. I've been gearing up for the last year in case word does come down, but it's hurry up and wait for now. In the near future I'll probably be reclassing to another MOS and probably end up on Active duty. If that happens, consecutive deployments are a regular occurence.

Ok thats kinda what I thought at first but when you said cutting cheese I thought it may be vacationing in france!

Reminds me of one of my favorite movie lines"drinking some wine, eating some cheese, catching some rays"

lol, nope, France would surrender as soon as I showed up with a SYKCO knife.

I heard there was a celebration in a nieghboring country, and during the fireworks a French Border Patrol platoon surrendered.

lol, I kid. If I recall correctly, France actually supported us when Bush started the whole mess in Iraq.

I want to know how our troops are doing with the Regulator, I would surrender if I saw a troop coming at me with those!

I just ordered a few new components for my 1911. The original Taurus safety worked its way out during the camping trip, basically rendering the gun completely unsafe, and a few small components fell out. I figured since I had to replace the ambi safety anyways, may as well semi-customize it and add a few Stainless components to it. I bought a Stainless Melt bushing for it. Now, for some stainless grip screws.

I don't know about trusting a gun whose parts "work" there way out!

If I disappear it is because my battery went dead.
