Plenty good on .22, pretty good on 30.06, and ok on shotgun ammo. I need more 5.56 for when I finish my build, but for the most part I'm ok on rifle ammo.

I've even got .22mag now! During the 100 mile yard sale I traded an old Llama .32acp (looks like a mini 45acp) for a High Standard 22 mag Derringer. I am satisified. The dealer told me that the Llama was worth more than the 22 but all he could do was an even up trade. I told him I was ok with that as I have been trying to find a High standard 22 mag for about 15 years but wouldn't pay the prices I found. I only had $150.00 in the Llama so as I said I am satisified.

I've got some 12ga ammo, but have figured out that I don't NEED 12ga for anything really, I've got a couple 20ga that will do everything I want them to and I have a sweet .410 bolt action with an under barrel magazine tube like the old .22's. Savage, I think.

Don't have a .22 Mag. KelTec is coming out with a .22 Mag pistol that has a 30 shot magazine and is all polymer. Should be a light little package.

It had an illegal chopped off barrel and the city was gonna destroy it. I told them no that I thought my Dad wanted a .410 and he could fix it to make it legal. The deal was he had to fix it first and if it met legal specs he could buy it for $10.00. He brazed a pipe onto the end of the barrel and then put a thick walled bras pipe inside that then reamed the hole out to .410. Then, TADA, great little gun.

I keep a 12 gauge under the bed for any unexpected visitors. Living out in the country, that may be anything from bears to human scum. When I'm at work, my wife needs something close by that she can handle. It's loaded with reduced recoil 00 Buck, so it'll work ok for her.

Have you checked into that FN the guys were talking about here a while back? I THINK it was in .17 though, but memory fails me.

Same here, but we live in a town with about 1300 people. MOSTLY quiet and peaceful. I'll tell ya though, THEY don't want to surprise her in the middle of the night. SHE CAN SHOOT! Course she's a country girl that grew up in the hills. (both her legs are ALMOST the same length now)haha!

My wife can't stand guns, but when she HAS to shoot she can. We live on the end of a dead end rd about 5 miles outside town, very little traffic except in hunting season. I love it out there.

I ALMOST got one of those, heavy barrel but decided on the 22mag instead. From what the guys here said the 22mag is VERY similar to the .17 so figured I could always pick up a mag later if I wanted to and would have versitility of 2 weapons of common caliber.

I have two cherry trees in my yard, when the cherries get ripe the crows come in and wipe them out. I wreaked havoc on the crows this year LOL.
