Sounds like a good gig to have. Not having somebody breathing down your neck is a plus to any job. You don't have to dread going into work everyday.

I'm a lot happier now than at my last job. There I was on call 24/7 and had to be planning a week out.

I got away with surfing until other people got hired and used my computer to hook up on myspace and crap like that. When they put the clamps on I started tethering for a while and was off of there interenet doing my surfing.

I can get onto about anything but youtube. Of course no porn, but I wouldn't look at that at work anyway

I never have and probably never will do an on call job. If you want me i need to know a day or more in advance.

Last job was a newspaper reporter and photographer. Lots less stress now at this job

Funny thing is I did more job related surfing than anything until they started blocking stuff. Then it was all guns and knives because they blocked all the info sites. The owners where pretty dumb guys.

One bad thing about being a night owl is the lack of good shows on tv late at night

when I first started at the dept, they had gun sites blocked. AT A SHERIFFS DEPT! Thank goodness they got over that one
