Not a bad choice. My Deregulator is in my Bugout bag.

I'm just the opposite Yote. I love a thick bladed knife, even if a thin blade is a little more useful. Just like the looks of it.
For the last 30 years my go too hunting/camping/outdoor knife was that marbles woodcraft clone I posted. The picture shows it after Mike Stewart cleaned it up for me.

I don't think either of us are right or wrong, just preferences

That's why I want that "The Works" kit. It'll be my in vehicle survival kit. Like this.

I don't have a sheath for my regulator

Yep, if we were all alike, it would be a boring world wouldn't it? My hip, at the moment, carries a Fallkniven H1. Not for everyone, but I like it. To each their own, right?

I've got both my DMCG & Dogfather handy to bail with. For the longest time, my CGDF was my truck knife. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Mine isn't really a bugout bag, it's a kit that goes out with me anytime we go camping/4x4'ing/hunting or any long drive outside of the city. It also serves as a winter kit, my bugout bag is bigger and doesn't leave the house unless it is going to be needed

I can't carry a fix blade at work so it is usually a spyderco military in my pocket
