Good so far!

Just kidding. It was a sorta mild starry evening. There was about 5 or 6 of us just ridding around really going no where on the gravel roads. Yes, we WERE drinking, Bud Weiser if I remember back 39 years correctly.

We had only had maybe 2 or 3 beers each and weren't even getting a buzz yet (we were all members of the Massive Quantities club back then). Anyway, after about an hour and a half we had to go, well you know. Anyway we didn't want to stop on top of this bald hill. Nothing on the top of this rise except a dirt road and a telephone pole on one side. So being the smart folks we were, we decided it better to go to the bottom of the hill so no one would see our headlights on top of this lone hill.

Well we got out and were doing the stand up thing and practicing our long distance water delivery service and one of us looked up back behind us to the top of the hill. Well a shout of Holy S&&* was given out and we all looked up the hill. We saw SOMETHING big and dark just standing in the middle of the road! It was looking at us and when we ALL begin shouting, it turned and walked (or maybe ran, at this point NONE of us could have told you) off the road. Needless to say, we got back in the car and was outta there so fast, we would have made a Nascar Pit crew proud!

Oh did I tell you one guy didn't make it back inside the car? He just jumped on the hood and held onto the cowling. Anyway, we were off! I think that we successfully completed the first sub 4 second quarter mile that night!

Well after going another quarter mile (after we got the guy on the hood back inside) we just stopped. We slowly gathered ourselves back together and realized that there WAS something up there, we couldn't have ALL been in an alcohol induced stupor, and remember, we were used to drinking so just 2 or 3 beers in that amount of time didn't really have us that bad off.

I've seen it too, less than 5 miles from where the guy that claimed to have seen it last week lives.

We went around the curve, and something on two feet walked off the bank to the right, across the road, and down the bank to the left and into the woods.

No alcohol involved in our sighting, we were on our way to partake, but had not yet.

Scared me so bad I didn't sleep all night.
