The more I listen to it, it doesn't sound like it'd be too horribly difficult to play, but it has a great sound to it, even if it isn't insanely intricate.

Who'd you ship the rifle out to? I heard Skunkworks makes some amazing M700 platform stuff, teeny tiny group guaruntee too.

I sold my .308.

Too funny you mention SkunkWorks. That's who I ordered my custom from! I'm getting the Kukri package....18" Broughton 5C barrel, action produced by Defiance Machine, DBM, Manners MCS-T, Timney Trigger group. Really lookin forward to it.

Did you buy "Process of a New Decline"? Or is there a later album released? It's the last one that iTunes has available.

OOH, sounds like you're gonna have a sweet rifle. Be prepared to not want to shoot anything else you have for a while, they're ungodly accurate rifles. A buddy of mine has a Skunk, I swear I can put 10 rounds through the same hole at 200 yards, unless I screw up.

Yeah, Process is the newest one. If you can preview it, track 2 programmers of Decline is really good, it's the song that caught my attention.

Yeah...I'm stoked. Some may consider this odd...but I'm dropping my little NF 2.5-10x24 on top. I'm going as light as possible, and keeping the package maneuverable. Usually only see those on AR platforms, but papa don't care!

Listened to some of Process (only small clips). A little too hard for my blood...I'm more of a "lyrics" person, and I have a hard time listening to the words of music like that. They seem to be pretty darn well talented though!

It's still a Nightforce scope, definitely not like you're putting a wally world special on top of a super custom rifle build, lol. You have larger objective bell scopes handy though right? I have a feeling you may want a brighter piece of glass after you see what that rifle is capable of. If I had could get any custom built rifle I want, it'd be either a Skunk or a Surgeon.

They are, and I totally understand wanting to hear the lyrics. There are some metal bands I've heard that I just cant stand, even though the guitars and drums and bass are amazing, because I can't understand a word the frontman says. I catch snippits here and there that come through with Gorod, but I've had years of practice understanding stuff like that, lol. I know my friend will like them though, they seem right up his alley.

There's a band I really like you may like to hear, Ishi. They're called Kamelot. The band is amazingly talented, the ONLY complaint I have is thier frontman kind of abuses his vocal tremolo... I enjoy the underlying music so much though, and they orchestrations are excellent too, that I couldn't dismiss them because of thier frontmans voice. Totally clear vocals too, since he's actually singing.

Have you ever looked through / used a NF 24obj in the field?

They are insanely clear and bright. I used to have a 50mm, and sold it due to the weight tradeoff. The performance gain just wasn't enough to excite me.

I think the biggest disadvantage of the small scope will be magnification. I'm comfortable with 10x just because my eyesight is still decent....but I may be wanting 15+ once I get out past 500yds.

It's all tradeoffs I guess...and I don't expect to be shooting that far as often as closer.
