Sounds like quite the eatery, we don't have them here, just a couple of family owned Mexican restaurants. I would rather eat my wife's Mexican cooking, I swear she has got some south of the border in her blood

I need to get me a good 1911...it's the one thing I've steered away from over the years. I just like my darn glock so much....kindof reminds me of my AK...ugly, but reliable.

lol, lucky man. My mexican cooking is kind of... off. My experience with the family owned restaurants around here is they're filthy dirty and there were a few that were shut down for selling drugs out of the back, lol... Such a strage city I live in.

A used Taurus is a good way to go, or a Para Ordnance. I would have preferred a Para myself, but I got such a good deal on the Taurus I couldn't pass it up, and I'm not too sure if the double stack Paras would fit my hands really well in .45. My one complaint is the original ambi safety was worn out, and fell out of the weapon on a camping trip, rendering it completely unsafe. Cost me 70 bucks to replace the part with something that wouldn't get lost. Really accurate shooter though, and I really like the Heinie Double dot sights, just stack the white dots and pull the trigger.

Susan makes her own Pico, salsa and queso sauces from scratch, plus all her marinades. God I love that woman !

Does she do canning? you should talk her into sending me some. Always need a reason to open a bag of tortilla chips, hehe.

I wouldn't mind trying a 1911, but I have a Sig P220 that works great for me, so I've been looking for more 9mm stuff than .45's

What's up guys? Dropping in for a few minutes, about to take a drive up into the mountains, go find myself a secluded place to shoot my M14 for a bit. I need to destress Sounds fun, wish the weather here was like there----I would be out shooting too. Something about shooting in 100+ weather that I really don't enjoy anymore.

Springfield Offers a few variations in 9mm, and thier XDs are simply amazing handguns. One 14 rd mag, and 2 reloads is a LOT of firepower. I had one in .45, the ONLY reason I sold it was because the grip frame didn't point naturally in my hand. If it had, I would still have it. I plan on purchasing a XD micro in 9mm for concealed carry.

If I ever get her to can some I'll do that! she made 2 gallons of pico de gallo for a party last weekend, it lasted about an hour! The guys at the dept are always trying to get her to make them stuff.

Can't say I blame you Sumo, it was probably into the low 90s earlier, but we had a few rainclouds pass over, and the temp dropped a bit. Where I was thinking of heading is so high up that it's usually about 10 degrees cooler than it is in the city, so hopefully it'll be comfortable. I just really want my trigger time, heatstroke or no, lol.

I have thought about getting another 1911 soon, but then I want to give the Sig 220 a try too. Who knows, I will end up with another Glock21SF more than likely LOL.
