I haven't even used the last knife I bought at a Ganza. I am not sure if I will keep it or sell it to finance another blade. I am a hands on kind of guy which is really difficult since I can't make it to any knife shows that Busse is at.
I really like handling knives before I buy, so buying on-line is hard for me

ive been hearing that the grips on the Zashi arent that comfy. i really want to get one, but i just dont know.

I thought they were awfully rough. I don't know if the ones at Blade were finished products, but if they were then I'm definately out on it. My hands couldn't take it for long at a time.

Good feedback, thank you. I've heard the same from those who've been able to fondle them. I have not, personally. A sword is cool...but I tend to focus my attention on tools that have potential for use (ie: tonight on the B-11 to replace my BWM).

The twisted ribbon style handles, when sprayed with the laquer, seemed awfully rough. That may wear down with some use, but I didn't handle them all that much. My first impression was that I loved the sword, but the grips were probably going to keep me from buying one unless they were changed.

My TT regulator is the biggest Bussekin knife I own.
My Kershaw outcast and my Case Western Bowie are the largest knives I own

I thought about buying one and getting someone to make micarta grip panels for it, or possibly some G10.

Sounds reasonable. When I first saw them...the discussion on how the handles enables "more options" for designs kindof stunned me, as I thought the sword would have been perfect with a regulator style Res-C handle.

Such is life...I don't own a business and could only hope to make it as far as Dan has. I respect the hard decisions they have to make, and I'm sure it's for good reason not shared here.

I missed the Ganza. Oh well. What's up dogs? It's been awhile since I've been on ZDC. I've been busy. But, busy is good.

There was nothing that I really wanted from the Ganza that could actually justify right now.

MB, why haven't you used the TMDSF? It seems like a great all around blade.

Funny, but you sound a little like me in what you are looking for in knives

Users and practiality above all else, that's what I look for. A Dogfather is great, but only if I'm going to chop stuff up. What am I going to do with a sword?
