ST, I'm uploading 49 pics of scenery in and around my beloved Rocky Mountains, and then uploading some pics of the abuse (some batoning, scoring fatwood, sticking the tip of it into the dirt <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />) I put my dereg thru Sunday afternoon. I am also including a couple pics of me cooking my M14. I guess there was some overspray from the painting inside the fiberglass stock, and 60 rounds of rapid fire later, smoking

I stumbled across Yogi Sunday, about 400 yards across a valley. Saw this big brown thing moving around. Glad I was on the other side of the valley.... Didn't have my camera right then either, the battery was dead when I got on the mountain, so I plugged it into the power converter in my patriot... so I guess it didn't happen, no pics.

I want to go to work for either DOW or NPS as a ecologist or biologist when I retire. They keep trying to get me to go LE. I don't want to start a duplicate career after I close this one out.

COOL!!! I'm excited to see them. I know y'all won't believe me (cause I forgot my camera and my cell was dead) but I went fishing yesterday and beat the crap out of my DF to get a fire going. No chopping but I battoned large blocks and processed some smaller stuff as well as did fuzz sticks with it. I got to 'school' my brother and one of his buddies on how to light a fire in the rain with damp wood! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Jared- I hear that, I (re)started my portion control Friday. I was at a BBQ Sunday night, and was miserable, I couldn't eat anything. Those burgers looked so good too.

The DF is thick/comfortable/heavey enough that I didn't need to beat on the tip with a stick. I just sunk the blade into the top and pick it all up and SLAMMED it down.
Worked awesome.
