It would punch plenty of holes in a whitetail if you could get it to your stand LOL. That's a heavy gun, but they shoot well. I shot a Savage police rifle a while back, it's like yours. Heavy, bull barrel, but dam that thing would shoot.

Antelope with a bow is tricky depending on where you are. Usually a hide or low crawl and then shoot fast.

VLS is a nice rifle, even better when the wife got it for you.

My buddies son was hunting on a pond in a very dry patch of land. The speed goat came over the dam, evidently not seeing the guy. Stuck it and went about 75 yds before dropping. I saw the pics, otherwise I would call BS.

MB, you could always tell they you'll work like 10-15 hours a week and just cruise around for the other 25-30 hours a week IN THEIR RIDE just so folks would think someone was on duty!
