Dialup? Ouch that sucks! I live in the middle of no where and can get dsl! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> DSL is right down the road, my brother has cable internet and he lives NEXT DOOR!! The cable company won't run it another 150 ft up the hill. ARGH!

Hmm.. What about running your own network cable? 10/100 is good for about 330 feet on a single stretch. Just have to find either some armored cable or piping to protect regular cable. Then voila!

Depending on the terrain, I would even try wireless first. Sometimes it surprises you! Or build a directional antenna.
