The trigger is the main part. The set trigger is a thing of beauty. Same trigger as on their larger centerfire rifles.

I keep getting distracted tonight. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Wander off to the motorcycle forum and read a thread, realize it has been a while and dash back here to check in!

the 453 was my second choice but its alot more $, wonder why though...is it the trigger?

Not really sure, could be, or could be a stock finish or something like that. I'm not very well read about the CZ's, not like Sigs or something.

One other thing to consider is which model you go for. I don't remember the specific details, however some actions use a single stud along with a dovetailed stud on the barrel to attach the stock. I know the 453 varmint uses two studs on the action with a free floated barrel. That played in to my decision.

No purty guns here, all mine are users, and hard users at that. I had a Browning once, was too scared to carry it for fear I might mess up the finish. Sold it after about a year LOL

my 453 is mainly a range gun.

My 45/70 guide gun has a nice stock with character marks as it is a user. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

A 45/70 would blow one of our whitetails in half. I wouldn't know what to do with such a weapon here. Our deer are kinda puny. Way too many of them around, and the wildlife guys won't extend the season past the 3 weeks it's been for 40 years.

Pvt. - Depends on what you are looking for. I haven't heard of a CZ that isn't a shooter.

From a technical standpoint, having the dovetailed stud on the barrel could reduce the overall accuracy potential of a rifle. Bedding and heat expansion could do odd things.

However at the end of the day it depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
