After finally getting back to my religious upbringing (no I am NOT a fanatic) I believe getting drunk is not a good thing, but do not think drinking is wrong. And I hope I have not offended anyone by my response.

I would say IF you would not do anything now you would not do when not drinking anything you are ok.

Too much damage is done by drinking to excess, however I find the occasional drink therapeutic!

I would say that when we allow the alcohol to control us, and not us controlling the alcohol is it bad.

and while running the risk of having to ban myself for wandering in to the religious area of discussion, my position is that as long as religion is not used to justify the poor treatment of any person it is ok.
