That's so sad in so many ways, Yote. Without getting political, ALL punishment is too light these days. Can't imagine what the officers had to go through walking into that scene.

NC is pretty good as far as gun laws go, can't complain too much. I like having my concealed carry permit, and being able to open carry if I feel like it. The no handguns laws would kill me, I have more pistols than rifles and shotguns. You can own handguns fairly easily, my one brother has 5 of them, and I have my license to buy them if I want. The issue is that you can only use them at an approved range. Always laughed I can take my 338 winmag anywhere or my pistol grip shotty, but a 22 revolver, why thats just plain evil Yeah, I knew that you could own pistols there, but couldnt' carry them. The US Supreme Court just ruled that cities couldn't just outright ban pistols, so we'll see what changes, but I still wouldn't want to live in a place that I couldn't carry them. There are groups fighting here for the rights of gun owners,I belong to one of them, problem is we don't have a unified voice so nothing gets done

It's like you said earlier, the only thing city folks know about pistols is that gangbangers use them, therefore they are bad. Here, they're just a tool to do a job with, whether that's killing deer, squirrels, or protecting yourself so that you don't get killed. I carry daily, and it's just like putting on my socks to strap my pistol onto my belt.

Inventing terms to make their constiuents belive they're actually doing something.
