By the time I was 28, I was married and had kids, and just lost the urge to join. When I came out of high school, I was fairly fit and could have done basic, but at 28 my body was alreadya wreck.

I love beer, have since my first sip. When I was in high school, the legal age was 18 and I went to school many mornings my senior year with a hangover.

We had a guy in Basic, ALMOST missed the cut off at the age of 40. He had his birthday in basic, and wouldn't have been able to enlist, but he snuck past. Some of us young guys had trouble keeping up with him.

It was legal when I was 18 too. Louisiana was the last to change

I'm 43 now, and most definatly wouldn't be able to keep up. I was doing 3 miles a day on the treadmill, but hurt my back a while back and haven't been in the gym in months. I really need to get back in there....

I've never done anything illegal... but I've had my fair share of hangovers in class, probably why I always slept through 1st period. I have a hard time not going to work recently without a slight headache.

Drop the treadmill and get on a bike, less impact

I have cut back quite a bit, don't drink nearly as much as I used to. The hangovers get worse as I get older LOL

agreed, I went on a profile for floating patellas, and the only cardio I could do without tearing up my knees was the bike, strangely. Supposedly it's harder on your knees than running, but it wasn't really a joint problem I had either, just weak quads
