Not in the land of fast food and drive throughs, it'll never be easy to lose weight like that.

I know no bashing is allowed here, but I will say this anyway.

I broke my last knife on may last deployment prying open a pelican case. It was a highly hyped Chris Reeves Green Bert. I shouldn't have the power to snap a piece of steel that is suposed to be a tool IMO

lol, no offense taken JJ, The way I see it, It doesn't matter if it's an Airmen, a Seaman, another Soldier, or a Marine covering my six, 'cause when the bullets start flying, (s)he's still on my side, and we're both getting shot at. I'll fight for anyone in an American or allied uniform who's standing next to me. I'll still rag on the other branches when I get the chance and have a good joke, but in the end I don't see that much of a difference. I may switch over to the Marine Corps when my reserve contract expires here. Long story short, I still want to do what I should have done when I was 18.

I've never broken a fixed blade, broke a few slipjoints but they were all cheaper knives. IMO, an CR knife should not have failed like that. I have a lot of faith in the Bussekin and the ESEE knives, thats about all that I mess with any more.

Agreed, I still think CR knives are good, but I don't trust them with my life and I have yet to find the knife I do

I know exactly which website you need JJ,

Knifetests.com

This guy is an equal opportunity knife abuser. He takes knives of all makes and models and puts them through thier paces, doing things to these knives that most people wouldn't dream of doing to thier steel.

Here's the vid section on the SY Scrapper 6. There's a couple more from Dan's Pedigree on the site as well, and an UNBELIEVABLE torture test of a BWBM. Take the time to read the results on alot of the other knives too, I won't bash, but ouch...

edit: forgot the link... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> http://knifetests.com/scrapyardscrapper6test.html
