I carry my G19 most everywhere I go, except where prohibited by law. I'm not a sworn officer so I can't carry everywhere. I can now carry in the National Park here, such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, and I carry when I'm fishing in the national forest as well. That's where they used to only allow rimfire pistols, but I was told by the Ranger that if you have CCW, they'll allow you to carry concealed while fishing.

I am glad they respect the CCW laws there. I remeber NC being fairly prohibitive in ragrds to firearms when I lived there. At least compared to other places I have and currently live. Sounds like things are much better.

It's gotten much much better in the past 10 years or so, since they added the CCW laws. NC has always been an open carry state, but some local LEO's are not well versed on that particular law and like to harrass ppl carrying open. But, since CCW is now legal, I got my permit and carry pretty much all the time.
