Are you saying that the flippers are entrepreneurs or is Dan?

Then go ahead and give it to him. If Dan charges more, your wannabe knife dealers will charge more as well, making it even harder on the poor collectors who missed the dinner bell.

They are both entrepreneurs. Dan COULD charge more. Flippers COULD charge less. They price their items for their own reasons.

There would be more to go around if people showed a bit of restraint.

There would be more to go around at Dan's pricing if people only bought one, yes.

That is that, and scalpers are scalpers.....and the earth will continue to spin and I will continue to be pissed at wannabe entrepreneurs who piggy back off the offerings of the Yard or and any other Knife company.

That would be the end of buying spares, buying extras for gifts, buying extras to cover people who couldn't camp in front of the computer at the right time, etc. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face! I also think Dan will keep his pricing inline with his norm. As I've said, people set their prices for their own reasons. I think Dan's goals are pretty clear; to provide a product of incredible quality and functionality at an unbeatable value -- resellers bedamned.
