I wanted to move to Montana for the fishing and hunting, especially the fishing. The cooler weather would be a huge plus, until it got to -20 deg LOL

I did pop a few mags through the Ruger LCP I picked up yesterday. I like it, a little small and would rather had the Sig P238 but the price difference and mag availability made the Ruger the winner. I can say the Winchester Bonded ammo did really well for a modified Red Neck Range Session LOL.

The MP and BD are tough to find, and I just didn't have the money for the one ECF got the other day. I passed that on to him just because I've still got one to pay for that I ordered from the Swamp.

Todd, , my brother lived in Chicago for 10 years and he made it apparent that layering helps a lot. You can add more clothes and wood to the fire but you can only get naked to a point here in the warmer regions.

I thought about the LCP, but I decided to go with the LCR when I buy one. I'm not a big fan of the small .380's, but it's just because I can't shoot them worth a darn.

I understand. I have the Bird Dog, Mud Puppy, Wiener Dog, MUKLE, S5LE, and the SS4 with mudders. All are great, I really like all of them and can not say which is my favorite. I know the S5LE is the least favorite and the WD is probably the best compromise of the blades for an all around use blade.

Ruger is releasing the LCR in 357 mag soon. Might be nice to have that one with the additional option of the mag for woods use. The LCP and all pocket pistols are a roll around on the ground gun to me. As you are rolling on the ground you are pushing it into open holes. The rest should take care of itself.
