Like I said, I heated up one sheath in boiling water, then shoved the blade inside and sat on it to mold it. And Yeah It molded tight, smart a**! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

It is one of the most solid blades I have ever held. No joke. Makes we want to see if I can put it through my flak jacket. That's a bad idea though.

I reckon it'd cut right on through, I used a Machete to do some serious damage to an Army IBA that someone misplaced. Sadly, I couldn't find the original owner, so I secured it. With the Point on the Dereg, I wouldn't be surprized at all if it punched neatly thru.

Hehe IF you were at Ft. Bragg, you could always just go down town and buy a new vest that some grunt pawned off. You would not believe how many ISSUE and controlled pieces of gear I saw downtown when I was stationed at Pope AFB next to Bragg.

I've seen the new Army IOTV (Individual Outer Tactical Vest) in a couple of the local mil-surp shops. Funny thing, it costs the Army well over 2 grand for one of these sets of armor, and some 11 bang bang ends up pawning to it make his car payment for 200 bucks. Then it gets resold for maybe another Benny. People just don't realize what they have.

Worse thing I ever did was steal the wing commanders safety program board. Hey WE needed one, and I knew he wouldn't have any problem getting a new one.

For some reason the Lt. Col I worked for at the time always sent me on scrounging missions.

Just trying to unwind a bit. Had a really hectic day, got schooled a bit on how to start acting like an NCO as well. Had a Spec4 lose her entire MOLLE Chest rig, up and disappeared, so I had to find the regs on how to write up a statement of charges, and then I had to explain why she's not getting any drill pay for the next two months unless she comes up with replacement gear soon.

With authority comes responsibility, sometimes duties we DON'T want. I once had to help right up Courts martial paperwork. Man it really sucked.
