Do you spend time in the ocean, too?

Not very much, we're about 5-6 hours away from the ocean here. We usually go in the spring to Charleston Sc, but not for beach time, we just hang out in the old part of the city and see the sights.

Help her find something else to do. For example, my ex used to be a botanist (before she became a doctor). When I spend a long time composing a nature picture, she is perfectly content to pull out the plant dissection kit, the 900 power microscope, the Jepson Manual, and her notebook, and entertain herself with some field biology.

When we're in Charleston, she just walks on because she knows I'll be along in a bit. Most places we go, she'll wander around closeby, but she knows how long I'll take if I need to.
