For what it counts, I like the first snake photo. The depth of field in the second one is too much and the noise is a little strong almost looks like reciprocity failure even though you said they're digital and that would be impossible. The depth of field in the second one looks a little unatural like it was done in PS.

Got to find some news outside to photograph! It is too pretty to be stuck inside this office today. Somebody should have a wet bikini contest. I'm sure the editors would be happy to get those photos.
