We are not a large department, but a lot of times we have 3 or 4 deputies on at one time, plus the 6 telephone lines, plus walkins, plus dispatching for 4 towns and answering transferred E911 calls (seperate 911 center thank goodness) and it can get rather busy for just one person.

I hate to keep stroking you, but you really do have a good eye for composition and light. You have some good tips on your blog as well. Now if I can just get you to come to my next duty station and train my junior Marines fresh out of photog school, that would be great. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Thank you! I'd love to offer them photography training – If you can get the folks with the purse strings to cover travel and a reasonable workshop fee.

Talk to you later, gentlemen. I am going to ride my bike around Panzer Kaserne (Tank Base) and see if I can find some newsworthy subjects to photograph. Maybe there will be a bunch of Air Mattresses (Those are female airmen for you civilian types, sorry Skunk Hunter) having a wet T-shirt contest on an Abrams tank.

I possibly could. It will be down the line though. I am working at a big newspaper now, but when I leave here it will likely be a small shop with young Marine photographers. The last place I was stationed we had a few photogs come teach us. It didn't pay that much, but all expenses were covered and it was an opportunity to travel the globe and do something you love.
