Just got this in over the TTY from the National Weather Service out of Paducah Kentucky.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
THERE IS A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS. ISOLATED STRONG STORMS CAPABLE
OF STRONG WIND GUSTS AND VERY HEAVY RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE.
MAXIMUM HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL BE NEAR 100 DEGREES IN SOME AREAS
THIS AFTERNOON.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY
DAILY CHANCES OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY NEXT
WEEK. ISOLATED STRONG STORMS CAPABLE OF VERY HEAVY RAIN AND STRONG
WIND GUSTS WILL BE POSSIBLE.
LONG RANGE GUIDANCE SHOWS HOT AND HUMID WEATHER WILL PERSIST
THROUGH THE PERIOD...AND POTENTIALLY BECOME DANGEROUS BY MID TO
LATE WEEK...AS A STRONG UPPER LEVEL HIGH BUILDS OVER THE REGION.
THE CONCERN IS NOT ONLY WITH RESPECT TO HEAT INDEX VALUES REACHING
OR EXCEEDING 100 DEGREES EACH AFTERNOON...IT IS WITH THE POTENTIAL
LONG DURATION ASPECT. SEVERAL CONSECUTIVE DAYS OF OPPRESSIVELY
HUMID AND HOT CONDITIONS CAN GREATLY INCREASE THE DANGER OF HEAT
RELATED FATIGUE AND ILLNESS.

Yeah it does have the potential for that. But we will probably be at the hospital most of the day tomorrow, and Patty literally, does not sweat! She overheats SO fast. And our poor Jeep just won't set and idle anymore in this heat and not overheat. Oh well, life goes on.
