nothing serious...had to repair a herniated umbilical. i'm already walking around quite a bit...sore abs but that's it. One day I'm gonna get mine fixed. The doctor told me to "poke it back in every now and then"!!! It doesn't hurt or anything and it's only about a nickel in diameter. Oh wow...mine was probably nickel sized as well. Had it about 8 months, just recently started getting a little tender during certain workouts so I decided to see the doctor. He recommended the surgery because of the possibility of complications and infections internally. You may want to get a second opinion....I wouldn't be worried, but I would definitely talk to someone. Especially if you have insurance coverage...it's a no-brainer to stop waiting. That is the same patch my doctor said they would use.
He said it wasn't a concern because it doesn't hurt or bother me.
At first I was upset with what he told me and I did have a second opinion and that doctor said the basically the same thing.
3-4yrs later, it STILL doesn't bother me and hasn't grown in size.
