Had the chopper standing by, at least one more transported to hospital, it's been a rough couple hours dealing with the fire and the radio and phone traffic from it. Family actually got there first and were fighting with firefighters trying to get into the house, bad scene.

Well, I'm reconsidering this shot:



I had thought it was kind of second-rate. Now it's growing on me; I'm thinking perhaps it's first rate, and deserves a place in my portfolio.

What do you think? Is it among my best pictures that you've seen? Or does it not make the cut, amongst my best?

By the way, that's a mother anhinga with a chick.

I think it's a go! I really like the way the white feathers stick out (clarity?) on the back of the head/upper neck and the way the sun shines through the chicks throat pouch.

You know, looking at this anhinga picture – I think I just thought of how I can slightly improve the processing.

On you flicker (the picture page) click on the pic. this will bring up the pic again with a lot of choices along the top. left click on any (or all) sizes. this will bring up the pic again with a large box with a lot of gibberish in it. Below that there will be another box with a single line in it. click copy on this. Then come back here and type this.... [img](paste here)then type [/img]after the paste, no spaces at either end and it should appear.
