Yeah, I think since mustard only has some vinegar in it, it takes longer to darken with mustard alone. I used it for a contrast. The guy I'm getting the stag arms ar15 from has a eotech 551 also, is it worth it for a little extra? Seems like a really cool extra

You'll have to rely on JJ for the answer to that one.

I love it man. You have to use a holographic sight to really appreciate it.

The difference between a hologram and red dot reflex sight is this...
In a red dot sight, the "dot" looks like it is right there on the glass. The "dot" of a hologram looks like it is floating out in space in front of your weapon. So, lets say you sight in your weapon at 50 yards and your holographic dot appears to be floating 50 yards in front of your gun, you are deadly accurate at 50 yards without making sight adjustments.
If the target looks like it is farther away from you than the floating dot, aim higher unless you have time to make adjustments. It is an easy way to judge distance when firing on the fly.
Hope that was written clear enough for you.

Don't really thing I'll make it though. I mean I COULD but don't think I will.

To be clearer. If your dot looks like it is floating on your target's nipple, you are going to hit that nipple unless you have trigger control issues.
A normal red dot, is harder to tell if the target is at the same distance you zeroed your weapon at.

Ok so the red dot is just like a conventional scope crosshairs?

Oh what the heck, I was in the Air Force, it's not like I was one of the Few, the Proud, a member of the department of the navy, the MENS department.
