Guy goes into a bar, there's a robot bartender.
The robot says, "What will you have?"
  The guy says, "Martini."
The robot brings back the best martini ever and says to the man,
  "What's your IQ?"
  The guy says, "168."
The robot then proceeds to talk about physics,
  space exploration and medical technology.
The guy leaves, but he is curious...
So he goes back into the bar. The robot bartender says, "What will you have?"
  The guy says, "Martini."
Again, the robot makes a great martini gives it to the man and says,
  "What's your IQ?"
  The guy says, "100."
The robot then starts to talk about Nascar, Budweiser and John Deere tractors.
The guy leaves, but finds it very interesting, so he thinks he will try it one more time.
He goes back into the bar.
The robot says, "What will you have?" The guy says, "Martini," and the robot brings him another great martini.
The robot then says, "What's your IQ?"
The guy says, "Uh, about 50."
The robot leans in real close and says,
"So, are you people still happy you voted for Obama?"

So I think I'm gonna get a Sig 226 9mm for my first handgun, any strong reason why I should not?

Good choice Jared! Check out the P228 also, it's a classic Sig 9mm.

So I think I'm gonna get a Sig 226 9mm for my first handgun, and strong reason why I should not? The 226 is a great gun! My first pistol was the 228 (compact vs full size) I put over 25000 round through that gun in the first 4 years I had it. Never a miss-feed, never a jam, never a problem. Those were all sorts of loads too, lots of reloads, cheap ammo, hot Corbon stuff, and everything in between. My buddy had the 226 and I shot lights out with it. Get the 226 you wont regret it.

I would put it through some rough stuff too. 3000 rounds between cleanings just to try and get it to malfunction.
About the only thing you need to do to a Sig is get new grips, the plastic factory ones suck! And night sights, mine have been on for 16+ years and still glowing!
