So I think I'm gonna get a Sig 226 9mm for my first handgun, any strong reason why I should not? get one! I promise you that you will not be disapointed. i think it is the best handgun out there. I trust my life to one everyday.

indeed. wwII vintage. german waffen amps stamped on it. and the theory on the grips is, that it was picked up by the french and used as a military police pistol. hence the mp stamp on the trigger guard. had several "expert" dealers look at it, and that was their conclusion which would explain the awfull grips on it. they also say it's the only one they've ever seen with import marks on it. only feeds right with argentine mags for some reason. otherwise it's a jam-a-matic.
