I usually pack an air mattress, but since my wife decided to start going with me she takes it and sleeps in the back of the Explorer, and I sleep in the tent with my ground pad and several good thick quilts. I find sleeping bags too constricting to suit me.

Hennessy Hammock. I have the Expedition Asym. They just started letting retailers carry it, so it is a little cheaper than when you had to buy it direct. It is $140 on their site, you can find it on Amazon for about $100.

I love this thing. Way lighter and way more comfortable than a tent. The only problem I have had with it is having to kick other Marines out of it when I return from a night patrol.

Can ya all do me a little favor. I posted a mini-review on BF knife review section (Gunny Esse 3) and don't feel like getting flamed for my 1/2 a** effort. Can ya swing over and make a constructive statement please?

After i did it, I realized it was a little weak! doh!

They can be...rough...hyper-critical on that thread for some reason. I just wanted to take some photos and get out a little!
