I put it all together and held it in place with a couple vice grips last night. I surprised myself how well it is actually turning out. Looks almost professional, definitely solid as a rock.

We HOPEFULLY will be stepping up into OUR new truck next week at the latest. We sent the title off to get it in Mildred's name on Monday. License bureau said we MIGHT get it back today or Saturday. SO we SHOULD get it into our name next week sometime.

I need to coat the metal with something. I stripped the tang of the reg and exposed the metal and the steel bar I am using is naked. Think Krylon will do. It won't be visible since I am going to wrap the handle with 550 cord. I ordered camo cord Monday.

Suddenly, my new people photography branch of my business has greatly picked up. Baby pictures are keeping me busy.

I like using automotive header paint--it is a 500 or 100 degree temp that can be got at AutoZone. After the metal is prepared I will heat the parts, and then spray the paint, then hang the parts to be baked in an oven or out in the hot Oklahoma sun. Not sure if you can get the paint over in Germany but there might be something even better due to different EPA regs than what we have in the states.
