We've got a 2005 Explorer, so we're good for a travel vehicle, at least for a while. I only have about a 5 mile ride to work, so I can stand an older vehicle.

I needed a Diesel. I tow too much weight for my old half ton to be reliable. I will probably never get another gas truck after having this beast.

I'll probably drive the truck to work some after we get it titled in our name, bragging rights and all dontchaknow and then switch back to the jeep.

2500. I wanted a 3500 but the tags would have killed me. Same truck just missing a springpack.

Only thing I tow is an aluminum bass boat, if not for that and taking off the trash I'd have bought a Subaru or something like that.

Its nice to be able to load up a few kayaks, an ATV and the trailer. Then head out on vacation. Plus the mileage is great for a truck.

MB, You could probably always pick up a set of springs at a salvage yard.

I can throw on a set of airbags and exceed the 1 ton capacity. I don't really need it right now. I haven't even been able to get the back to squat with any load yet.

We don't really have anything to tow now but I want to get a receiver for it anyway but can't figure out how much drop (if any) I should get for just general all around (MIGHT NEED) towing.

Sounds like you are probably all set already and don't really need the extra "helper" spring set.
