I picked up a couple Ontario xm-1's off eBay for around $40. that was a really bulky heavy knife. I never noticed them anymore than any of my other knives. never needed it for it's build though. the kershaw blurs seem to be the perfect knife for me though.

Funny how I don't mind spending a couple hundred on a fixed blade, but can't seem to make myself spend that much on a good folder.

I need a Spyderco. Without breaking the bank, which would you suggest for a first Spyderco?

what is really nuts is that I'm apparently the perfect height for the bottom of my knives pocket clips to catch on door latch plates. just keep bending them.

I really like the endura, however if you prefer a g10 handle then the para-military.

I have a friend that collects Spyderco and he told me that he thinks the Tenacious is the best value for dollar right now in folders. I haven't tried one yet but I might.

I messed up when I bought the military, I bought the spyder edge model, I should have stayed with plain edge.

Or catching on the armrests of office chairs.

I prefer plain edge knives too, just seems like I have more use for them than the serated edge.

most I paid is $160 for a spyderco citadel. I love peoples response when they first open it. it reapply open hard and feels solid. bent that clip as well though... the clips tend to catch on my shirt and pull the knives off.

I have never liked combo edges, but I was impatient, they were sold out of plain edge and I said what the heck.
I much prefer plain edge
