Jared, not sure if this is out of place....but I recall you being new to firearms. If you get the opportunity, take a look at getting a couple of good .22 lr caliber guns...maybe a long arm and a pistol, or just a pistol even. They are super fun, good for training, cheap, and can be helpful to "engage" your SO in the shooting sports as the recoil is null. Just wasn't sure if someone had recommended that to you in the past, but I really enjoy my .22's!

Some of my best memories come from shooting .22's with my dad when I was a kid...turtles beware!

Tell him not to bother. I don't want to meet him. It would just make me feel dirty! AND I hate those shots with the square needle!

I'll have to look into that, I've been reading about 22 conversion kits, that help reduce costs on ammo

Just looked up how to make mircata. Looks pretty simple. I think I am going to pick up some fiberglass resin later today. I got some old jeans that I was going to scrap anyway

Jared, Sig makes a 22rimfire called the Mosquito I think. You MIGHT want to check into that, same controls as your 226 and all.

I'd recommend just getting a .22....like a Ruger. You don't need anything sexed up...just a plain jane 10/22 (rifle) or Mark III (pistol). They won't cost much more than a conversion would, honestly....and conversions are hit / miss.

NOW...a .22 dedicated upper for your Stag would be the shiz. I'd recommend Spike's, but I'm a devout fan as their customer service is top notch. That's a bit more of a pricey proposition though...you're looking at $500+.
