I've bought and sold probably 100 guns over the past 25 years, but right now I only have about 10 or so, and most of them are hunting guns. I have a few pistols, but I'm seriously thinking about dropping at least one caliber and maybe just going to all 9mm or .40 cal. This knife obsession is getting the best of my gun dealing LOL.
Same boat but in the last 17-18 years and probably more than that when surplus rifles were cheap and plentiful. The Nagants and Enfields were truly addictive.

I had my C&R license, didn't order the first gun with it. I got it just for buying LC Smith shotguns off Gunbroker, but never found what I was looking for. Missed out on the cheap K31's and SKS's. Still kicking myself over that too. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" />
I had a few of the K31's before the cheap ones came in country. The ones I missed out on and would have loved was the Swede Mausers. I still want a 6.5 Swede for hunting.

Here is an idea of how big the old bowie is. That is a SOD LE and Chopweiler in the pic.

Sweet! My granddad made my dad a knife one time, he used a deer antler for the grip. It was beautiful, I wish I knew what happened to it. My granddad could make anything, he was a true craftsman no matter what the material.

Todd that is cool. Do you have any siblings that may know where it is? Is your father still around to ask about it?

I wish the blade could talk of all the things it did, experienced, etc. Same thing about old guns too.

Dad may have it put up somewhere, but I haven't seen it in years upon years. He's got a gunsafe stuffed full of knives and guns, so it may be in there. Or my brother may have it, he's a collector too. It probably wasn't heat treated, so it would have been more decorative than a user. He was a furniture worker, so he didn't have access to a furnace.
