She is lusting after a 28,000 dollar lense now. Thats not going to happen. Her 35mm cameras were high end. We are trying to stay in the moderate zone for the digitals. Since they become obsolete so fast. Going to pickup the 14.6 mega pixel. In a few years the 18 mega pixels will be cheap instead of 3-5 grand.

Mine is a lowly 4.1 Megapixel camera. It does the job pretty well for what I shoot. Mostly sports for a newspaper, does'nt take high res to do that.

I would say she has 10-15 g's in lenses lying around the house. She has been using a Canon latey. But Everything I have used for the past 20 years has been a Pentax except for out digitals. But with the ability to have a nice 500mm lense again and about 8 others to fill the niches. Its worth going back to Pentax.

She really enjoys setting up someplace and everyone else having lense envy.

Unobtainium! Its a motorized AF armoured 200-500 and 500-1000mm lense. It looks like a small cannon.

Unobtainium because she isn't getting one. 28 grand is a nice car, Not a camera lense. If she was doing it for a living again I might consider it. I know they make lenses that are far more expensive. But until she gets a job working for the NFL as a photographer it probably won't happen.

I got my bang around camera in today though. A 10 megapixel point and shoot for $77 bucks isn't bad at all.
