That's a fine family, sir! I see you have a set of twins; one with lots of hair, one with a crop-top

Nice collection going there, R-C. I had the pleasure of sharpening one of the new Wiener Dogs today for a fellow dog. It's a lot like the Bird Dog, which I really like. It will take a super sharp edge, too.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Do you still convex it or just improve the edge that is already there? THANKS!!!

THANKS!!! The first thing you need to know is 154CM is very hard steel. You'll need an aggressive grit to set the new edge angle. I used 80 grit. Also, this steel can get hot fast, so have water nearby. I went 80 grit to 180 grit to 40 micron to 15 micron to 9 micron. All my edges are somewhat convex since I don't use the platen. The new edge was only slightly narrower in angle to the factory. The thing cuts like a laser. Don't drag the point all the way across the belt. Pull it away half way across and you will keep that fine point.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
