I hate to be the first one to point it out, but I think this thread has been hijacked, which is a violation of rule #7.

Maybe we (I) should just relax. Before you know it, this will just be a forum for the Big Dog and Scrap Yard mods. I find myself being a button pusher here on this thread, and that's just not me.

Hey guys...go out and enjoy your FREEDOM and celebrate Memorial Day <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
As to this thread; it's hit the pooper and will likely get locked down...so, IBTL (hah...I never post that on any forums, but the ARFCOM'ers used to do it all the time). I wouldn't worry about it....I tread lightly here also, but mostly because I appreciate the way this place runs. I believe the rules do a pretty darn good job of keeping everything civil; granted, its not for everyone. Keep in mind there are plenty of forums where you can debate different products until your fingertips go numb...have at it.

True. But if you look carefully, you'll notice that the person who initially hijacked it makes ALL the rules around here. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> Exactly.

If you take the time to conduct a search, you'll find MANY discussions and pics of other manufacturers' knives after Chris posted the rules and regs. As long as the discussions and pics were in relationship to Bussekin knives, we've never had a problem. Clearly, something got under Dan's skin this time. Whatever it was, I hope it passes quickly and we can go back to discussing Bussekin knives in relationship to the rest of the knife world. If not, then I agree that Rule #6 should be changed to reflect Dan's new position. I suppose that as a moderator, I should have said something, but I thought comparisons were permitted.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

For now, I'd just refrain from any discussion of non Busse kin knives. Lord knows I have done many such comparisons in the past. Some were chop offs, but some were just size comparisons and pictures, as in this thread. I'm sure Dan will clear this up soon. In the mean time, let's just confine our knife discussions to Scrap Yard, Swamp Rat, and Busse.
