Don't know as I don't have a kid, and never will get to have that honor. I say a SS4, HCLE, or Wiener Dog since they can be sharp as all get out, great handle retention and easily cleaned.

The kid is due in September. But, my wife just nixed the knife idea. It's an emphatic NO GO.

I won't even attempt to argue this one as I choose my battles wisely. And I don't want my blades to come under the scrutiny of my wife.

But, it was a fun thought.
