I've been sitting here this morning reading and catching up on the forums and constantly going back to Canada Posts website to track my two incoming packages. The site has been telling me for 5 days that my RC 3 is in customs in Quebec. (The second item is my Dumpster Mutt from Myke)
Well to my surprise there was a knock on the door. The mail dude!!!!
My 3 is here and WOW am I LOVING it!!!!
For such small blade it is a lot more than I expected!!!
It included 2 sheaths (coyote and black) 2 belt clips, two MOLLE clips, the MOLLE back and a business card.

And some comparison shots to the Mud Puppy.

It will be part of my EDC from now on. That's right, it'll replace my MP for a while.
I can't wait for my next outdoors adventure so I can go beat it up!!

I wanted to post about some similar acquisitions recently, but Dan stomped on the last thread of a similar nature that I read, so I've been quiet. I'm not telling you what to do, but I'm just sayin...

I like the ESEE stuff pretty well, the -3 is very nice for a EDC blade. I don't have one YET, but I will eventually. My EDC blades rotate between an ESEE-4, a Fallkniven H1, and now that I have a sheath for my Weiner Dog it'll also be in the rotation. Congrats on the new blade!

The handle on the 3 IS smaller but it's not a bad fit for my hand.
For the tasks I intend to use it for I think it'll be great.
The handle on the MP is a lot larger and more comfortable. Res C is hands down the absolute best handle material!!!! Bar NONE!!!!
I'm happy with BOTH knives but want to give the 3 a chance. I plan to make it a work knife which is somewhere my MP WON'T go!!! I only have a leather sheath for the MP and it's way to nice to ruin or even chance ruining.

Very nice, thanks for the comparison and shots of it in your hand. I have been eyeballing the RC-3 for a couple weeks now. I had heard reviews from people that got the 4 say that it was more than they expected and they might prefer the 3. However I tend to need to go one size up from what most people recommend and I think I may go with a 4 after all. I'd love to get a Scrapyard with mudder grips, they look really nice.

My Muppy's mudders are amazingly comfortable, and the res-c doesn't rub uncomfortably into my side while it's being toted along at work. I used an old mini-maglite belt holster as an improvised sheath for the Mud Puppy, and it works well enough, but the knife is so sharp it's chewing up the nylon really badly. I need to get some Kydex for it soon, or I might not be carrying it for much longer, lol. I just wish it were easier to conceal a fixed blade, I can't wear it with certain t-shirts, it looks like a tumor sticking out of my side.

It looks like they're only available if you preordered, that does look pretty nice. Costs almost 50% more though

LMAO! I'll keep that one in mind! It conceals great under my ACUs, but the cut of the uniform is so loose, I could conceal a Bat-Belt under the top, lol
