It's not very often I get to make references to that film, and when I do people rarely have any idea what I'm talking about.

Well, I am a Marine combat correspondent who worked for Stars and Stripes. I have even been called Pvt. Joker. That movie had a heavy influence on which service and MOS I picked. Yeah, I let a movie influence a major life decision and am very happy about the out come.

That movie definately influenced my decision to enlist. I went the crazy door gunner route though. Get some!

I think we may have seen that movie too many times, and since I have the bluray of it, I will watch it again tonight. It never gets old.

I figured you were too old to know Platoon or Full metal Jacket. I was thinking silent movies were more your speed, seeing how you were raised in that generation and probably can't hear anymore anyway.
