I hope the Mojo is a bunch thinner than the S6. I like a recurve, I was just checking out the Chris Reeve Neil Roberts knife which is like a Green Beret but with a recurve and better handle and it was really really nice. It really helps with getting a cut started.

I hope that its NOT thinner! Thats just me though... I'm pretty sure it'll be the same thickness as the S6, DM and DF unless anyone has heard differently?

The Swamp Rat Mini Mojos are .25" thick. Not a skinny blade by any means. If Dan is going to take advantage of the tooling in place for the Swamp Mojos I don't thick he would alter the dimensions much.

The man is a constant source of surprises however

You are most likely right, but I (and I am probably the only one) would prefer it to be 3/16" thick. A fighter should be light and fast. Fast enough to open beer bottles in a blur of furious action!

It looks like they are sold out of HRs over at Swamp Rat, missed that boat. I would rather have an SR-77 version in Res-C for 30% less from SYKCO.

Eric said they’d have more later, so you’ll have another chance at ‘em. Unless you have smaller hands, I think you’d prefer the HRLM. It’s much more comfortable than my HR.

The latest Harbour Freight catalog had HD's belt sander marked down to $32.99. I was eyeballing one just before I saw all the sanding love HD's knives were getting and his pics inspired me even more. I'm only waiting to make a trip down to our local Harbour Freight store to see if they might have it in stock.

I was in Indy a couple days ago and thought I’d check in their since I was in the area. I came right near closing time, so I didn’t get to look at everything and see if they had one. I did pick up a new sharpening stone though…

Kraz is right as usual, the Rat mojo is pretty fast in the hand and so you all know the beer bottle opener does not get in the way of several of my COTS sheaths, it hangs out of the sheath.

The blade catch feels good on my thumb in the normal chopping grip, especially of you use your index finger on the choil for fine cutting of foods etc.

I thought I'd consolidate Dan's comments so far regarding the Scrap Yard Mojos:

Quote
Dogs, I was caught off guard with this note. I had planned to have the new knives debut on Saturday afternoon at Knob Creek while posting them for preview on the forum. My intent was to give a taste of what is coming.

Leave it to the Hogs and alcohol to let them out early. Raise your morning beer to salute Gath and Josh at Busse Combat.

Plan on seeing an announcement later today

Dan

Dan teased us yesterday, but didn't deliver an announcement. Here's as far as we've gotten:

What would you think if I put them up for sale this week?

What about tomorrow?

Just a thought

Compliments get you everywhere. What day sounds good to the Dogs

Dan

And that was the last thing we heard from Dan. (I suspect he passed out in front of his computer. )

So let the cry go up from here . . .

BRING ON THE MOJOS, DAN!!!

Who's with me???

Your guess was closer than you think. Waking up to ghghghghghghghghg...being typed on thousands of pages on the computer screen with that unrelenting sound (that took 10 minutes to stop after lifting my head from the key board) makes for a rough night of Makers Mark and Bud chasers.

I will try to get the official notice out tomorrow and I will include a little more.

Head still splitting Dan
