Thanks for hanging in there with me PK.

I'm sure you've stated this before...but what line of work are you in? Any specific hobbies other than knives?

Glad to help you Ishi!

I was in production management for many years, then moved to Missouri and own a cattle ranch. I have sold off my herd and retired, and my wife and I love being home together!

I wish that I made more effort to go camping more often. There is so much about the woods that I could teach my wife....she's clueless.

Took her back home and we went walking through the woods one day. In that day...she experienced:

A) A noise coming from the bushes..."Oh My!"...it was an armadillo, lol
B) A 5' snake that ended up climbing a tree and looking down at us. That was actually kindof scary....we ended up looking in the trees for snakes as well as on the ground after that....sheesh.
C) A 80 lb hog ran into us....scared him as much as us. I couldn't get him in my sights or he would've dropped.
D) A 4' rattle snake...which died a prompt death.

Fun times!

That sounds wonderful. I really like Missouri. Are you in the Ozarks at all?

We used to chase Turkey's up and down the Ozarks in Northwestern Arkansas. What beautiful country that was....and hearing Turkey's gobble on an early April morning is a memory that won't vanish anytime soon.

Yes, turkeys are really neat to hear early in the morning. There are a LOT of turkeys around here --- deer too!

I forgot to mention that she had her first experience walking through thick black mud with rubber boots on. She busted it and got her "designer" jeans all muddy. I laughed sooooo hard, and of course said the completely WRONG thing to say, "I told you not to wear those [censored] jeans" I didn't hear the end of it!
