I need to do a lot of stocking up, I'm ok in some areas but lacking in others. Got plenty of ammo and weapons, but tools and non-perishable foods I really need to stock up on. Water supply too... Me too. The thing that a lot of people overlook in a city setting is there is a lot of ready available water that is pretty clean to start with----hot water heaters, toilet reservoirs, etc. Canned goods is what I really need to stock up on, have thought about narrowing the firearms list down a bit more, same with knives, things that can be carried and useful, nt so much fun stuff. I've thought about consolidating my pistols down to one or two calibers. Just sold my AR15, now I think I'll pick up the parts and build me another one. Kept all my ammo and mags for it. I'm pretty good with .22 ammo and hunting rifle ammo, but self-defense wise I should have kept the AR.

Seems like insomnia is starting to be a regular thing for the night shift. Not really sure it is an age thing though. That could be part of it, partly due to things running through our minds, our brains just keep working when it should be turned off. Yeah I have noticed that. That I MAY go to sleep in a reasonable time but then wake up and things are swirling around in my mind just like I never went to sleep. Great minds never stop working......................well I read that in a Readers Digest once while sitting in an outhouse portapotty

Ok yeah I got that. And you know that "THEY" say, promises are made to be broken! (least that seems to be the mantra in Washington!) First the gold standard, then the silver standard, now we are living on borrowed money and time. Look back through history and you can see the fall of many great peoples come on reliance from outlying sources. Rome for example, never mind........you guys know where I am coming from and the teacher in me can get off on a tangent. Just wait till China calls in their loans!

When I do sleep, I dream about work and such, then wake up and I'm pissed off or upset or something like that. Makes going into work even harder when your pissed at someone that has not done anything (yet) to cause it...........been there LOL.

Jeff, Patty and I just finished "arranging" our stash in the garage. Come to find out we got 4 cases (12 cans per case) of corn, 4 cases of green beans, several (maybe 9 cans) of fruit/mixed fruit and several cans of mixed veggies and other assorted stuff as well. We still need to get some more stuff though. Maybe some canned meat of some kind (can't eat spam all the time!)

China's margin call! Yeah THAT does concern me. Wouldn't be so worried if it was Canada!

She doesn't believe we'll ever use it so we don't need to buy it. I'm just the opposite, rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it!

For me my go to rifle is a full size M1A that I can chest size gongs all day at 400 with irons. I still would like something shorter but the SOCOM16 did not do it, AR's don't do it, AK's kinda do it, but the Para FAL will do it someday. I did get the little Ruger SP101 in .22lr from my dad for the AK. Now I have a half lugged 4" and 6" .22lr revolver, my 357, the wifes 45 acp and 9mm. Oh yeah, my Uzi too

Might be time to light one, two or three of the nice little firestarters off. Hey, we could get some of the offshore work back here in the states.
