Here is a hint.... We normally run up to about 3 months between grocery trips. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> You can probably get stuck at home a lot easier than we can too LOL. I don't even have room for more than a couple weeks of groceries, when my kids move out I'll have some more room but that may be a few years yet.

Chris, I remembered you talked about trips to the store being rather far apart. 500 mile+ round trip to grocery shop!

Most folks don't have the storage space for that many supplies at one time! Oh and I am thinking about getting some MRE's just because.

Jeff, go ahead and wear the hat. A lady once told me(a regular) that "THEY" found a way around that! At that point I knew that it was a lost cause for me. I remember that story. BTW, wife just got on my butt for being up. I asked her if I woke her up and she just went back to bed. Another day in paradise.

Primary storage is a 20 foot long shelf, floor to ceiling and it is well loaded!

We always get a laugh as the Emergency Preparedness plans with the Gov't remind people to have "sufficient supplies for 72 hours" in the event of a major emergency. What about our other 2400 hours of supplies? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> So true.

I've got a Ruger MkII Slabside Target model, and a 10/22 rifle, along with about 2k rounds of ammo. Also have a .17 HMR and about 500 rounds for it too. That right there will take a lot of game--small to larger. I have used a 17 HMR on a yote before and devastating. I've killed several deer with a .22 to the head, dropped them in their tracks. I'll do ok, if need be. If they're too far away, I've got a few others in the safe <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
