I really enjoyed going up in the Statue of Liberty - it made me think of how my grandparents must have felt seeing it for the first time. It is still a special place to me!

Tom's neck of the woods has some pretty nice sites as well. Hey PK...my only Missouri story: Well, it was my first spring break in college, circa '95. Being the outdoor enthusiast...my friend and I decided to drive to Springfield and visit the Bass Pro HQ Drove over 12 hours straight....got pulled over by a Highway Patrol for swerving (I was tired), got offered my first Moonshine at a little rest stop....but we had a great time at Bass Pro the next day! It was awesome

I have been to Bass Pro MANY times, and it is a neat store. Lots of tourists though!

Where bouts are you located Skunk? What part of Missouri are you in, PK? I'm not really familiar with the geography of the state....is it flat to the East...Mississippi River?

However, back in '95 we didn't have such luxuries Bass Pro was just a magazine to us, and what we had seen in hunting magazines

Ish - I'm in the S/W part of the state. I tell folks to follow I-44 from Springfield to Joplin, take the middle spot in-between, and go North the same distance. Using a map, it just about puts you on our property.

ahhh, so you are in the Ozarks? I have such great memories of those mountains in NW Arkansas.

Ish, the southeast part of the state. do a search for Mingo National Wildlife Refuge. We're within an hours driving distance of that. As for as geography, just rolling hills, farm country.

We are actually somewhat on the edge --- not too much farther west and the land starts to flatten out. Kansas isn't that far away.

Randy is in what most people think of the Ozarks - rolling hills and forests. Pretty country there.
